EMS Calibration
Once all the appropriate technologies are in place, the engine management system needs to be calibrated on time and under budget to meet the power and torque targets, while achieving the highest levels of drivability, dependability and fuel economy that the customers have come to expect as standard.  But all of this is worthless if the ever more stringent emissions standards of the world are not only met but beaten by a large enough margin that builds in robustness for real world use.  The potential fines for selling vehicles that don't meet the required standards are large enough to put even the largest OEM out of business.  This is where the majority of eXpert Powertrain Ltd.'s experience and previous success lies.

Diagnostics

These days, new vehicles are required to self diagnose any emission critical component failures, amongst other things, using EOBD and OBDII (On Board Diagnostics).  Since 2006, this element of a vehicle's features has counted for a very significant portion of the overall development process and therefore cost.  It is therefore vital that it be carried out right-first-time, or the costs and time can slip away in the blink of an eye.
